I'm not a magician. There is no magic F13 key on my keyboard,
I can't pull the answer out of a hat.
It's doing the hard work of understanding the problem, as a team, that makes for better solutions.
I'm not deriding those who do. They do a great job spreading ideas and starting conversations. 'Certainty' is very buyable. It allows change to happen in organisations that crave certainty. In one way, that's valuable.
It's hard to avoid if you're trying to be focused and succinct. It also helps you build a 'brand' around the framework, method etc. So I get it.
I'm just not comfortable suggesting "one size fits all" - it flies in the face of personal experience.
I've done a lot of talks over the years, but since a later in life ASD diagnosis, I've recognised how stressful I find them. Due to this, I tend to avoid submitting conference talks nowadays.
I still love doing workshops though. They feel different.
They're figuring it out together - interactive and collaborative. Sharing, not telling.
So no book any time soon! 🤣
